Finally got to do some windsurfing here in the US. Tried to do some last week in Boston in the Charles river but they would only let me on the river after 2 hours safety trainning, on very old kit. Those fun loving yanks.

In Falmouth here on Cape Cod I finally found Eddie a guy who runs the windsurfking on old silver beach and for the price of a Basil Brush DVD got to windsurf all afternoon. The only thing that really spoilt it was the lack of wind and the fact that i had to wear a t-shirt due to sunburn. Otherwise it was nice to windsurf in warm water and without any boots.

He had some OK kit and i used a 8.6m tushy sail and a 140L Drops board. Have had a look at the windsurfing on Marthas Vineyard yesterday and the equipment that they had was pretty poor. Still back in the UK on Saturday and the forcast for the weekend looks OK. Sahame about the Sun though i was just getting use to it.

Iain

PS - had to give it 4 stars as the location and the warm water were the really stars.
